The sailing boat reflects our seaside location on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie, as well as the many sea journeys of St Francis Xavier. He sailed to many parts of Asia to spread the Gospel message. His passion and faith in God are an inspiration for our daily lives.

St Joseph’s cross in the background represents the strong foundation of Catholic education laid down by the Sisters of St Joseph who established our school in 1950. The cross is also the best-known Christian symbol, reminding us that it is the love of Jesus that is central to our lives.

Motto

“Let Your Light Shine” is a positive statement encouraging us to use the many talents with which we have been blessed to shine the light of Christ in the world. It is in sharing our talents that we can build a loving school community.
